The first concert

Pandit Manilal now begins the poetic alap where he explains the raga by playing it and sensitvely exploring it for us.
It may seem a bit "soft" to some people, but I found myself totally undone and unable to take any photos for a while due to the fact that for some reason, my eyes and face were filled with tears as I experienced the pure emotion coming from his wonderfully eloquent musical poetry.
