Ashwin Batish. Definitely one of the founders of the Indian Music Missionaria, Ashwin plays almost anywhere to pass on the joys of Indian music to people of oh-so-many kinds and persuasions.
As many of you will also know he has produced some very fine and useful video tutorials about Indian music and many a person has learned to play Sitar, tabla, or other instruments through these. I just wish that when I picked up my first sitar in 1972 that these tremendously useful tutorials has been available to me at the time.
I raise my glass to Ashwinji and his wonderful family for the enormous help he and they have given to the Indian music playing fraternity.
As the Aussies would say "Good on yer, Ashwin."
