Tabla inspection with Warren Ashford

"Hi, I'm Warren Ashford and I check out all the tablas for Buckingham Music, Inc.. Over the last 20 years I recieved my training from the late master Pandit Gyan Prakesh Ghosh and later studied under the premeire tabla maestro Zakir Hussain as well as Ravi Shankar's famed tabla accompanist Ustad Allah Rakha. Here's an example of a really nice dayan. The black center spot has been carefully built up in layers the way it should be and the tone and responsiveness is good. I don't pass anything less than this for grade A."
